Multilingual Overhaul, Orthodox Parish of Turku

I was part of a major website redesign project for the Orthodox Parish of Turku. This overhaul included a complete theme change with updated colors, typography, images, and content to create a modern, user-friendly experience.
A key focus of the project was internationalization: the website now provides information about the parish's activities in 8 languages, making it accessible to a broader community.

My role

As part of the team, I handled the translation of texts from Finnish to Greek, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate localization. I also assisted in integrating the translations into the website, helping to broaden the parish’s reach to Greek-speaking audiences. My work involved ~3,000 words of translation and content integration.

The revamped site now offers seamless access to parish activities and resources in multiple languages, fostering inclusivity and engagement.

I rebuilt the landing page for Garage21 - Iliopoulos, a local car repair shop in Kalamata, Greece. Their old website, built in a website platform, suffered from layout issues, poor responsiveness, and missing business information. It also had performance problems due to bloated JavaScript and unused files.

I developed a fully custom website for Just Games, an indie game company based in Helsinki, Finland. They were previously using a website builder but needed a self-hosted, cost-effective solution with more control. The final product is fast, scalable, and easy for them to maintain and expand.

Minimalist Portfolio Webpage for Writer – Elisa S.

I designed and built a clean, single-page portfolio for Elisa S., a young writer who needed a simple online presence. With no specific design requirements, I focused on creating a functional layout that introduces her and her work effectively.

I rebuilt the website for Vakka-Viestintä, a small advertising and digital marketing agency based in Finland. Their existing site was outdated, insecure, and non-compliant with modern standards. My goal was to modernize the site, improve performance and security, and ensure GDPR compliance.
